Onlinehandel ist mehr als Amazon und eBay
Der Onlinehandel über Marktplätze ist ein wesentlicher Bestandteil des eCommerce in Europa. Der Bundesverband Onlinehandel e.V. (BVOH) hat in einer großen Übersicht alle Marktplätze in Europa zusammengetragen und dargestellt.
Online-Marktplätze zeichnen sich dadurch aus, dass auf einer Plattform verschiedene Händler Waren anbieten können. Von der Mechanik her gibt es unterschiedliche Arten von Marktplätzen. Zum Beispiel unterscheidet man zwischen geschlossenen und offenen Marktplätze, wobei sich auf offenen Marktplätzen nahezu jeder Händler direkt selber anmelden kann und bei geschlossenen Marktplätzen der Betreiber entscheidet, ob ein Händler zugelassen wird oder nicht. Des Weiteren unterscheiden sich die Marktplätze in der Angebotsart (Sofortkauf, Auktion, Inserat / Kleinanzeige) und damit auch in der Möglichkeit, ob die Transaktion direkt auf dem Marktplatz passiert oder erst bei Übergabe der Ware. Einen dritten entscheidenden Unterschied sieht man in der Betriebsart. Wird der Marktplatz von einem Händler betrieben (Amazon, Otto, Pixmania, Zalando) oder von einem reinen Marktplatzbetreiber ohne eigenen Verkauf auf dem Marktplatz (Allyouneed, eBay, Rakuten).
Mit Unterstützung der Beratung p.digital wurde nun die Liste der Online-Marktplätze vervollständig und ein Ranking erarbeitet. Somit kann erstmals festgestellt werden, welche Marktplätze wie relevant sind.
Diese Übersicht soll Herstellern und Händlern die Möglichkeit geben zu entscheiden, welche Marktplätze in Zukunft für die eigene Geschäftsentwicklung angebunden werden sollten.
